Marc works limited part time at Home Depot. When he lost his job last February because of his disability we knew that his 25 year career in the jewelry industry was over. Think about it, luxury jewelers do not hire wheelchair bound sales people. In 25 years we only knew of one. Since many stores […]

I am sitting here this morning absolutely bleary eyed, hoping that the caffeine will soon jump start the gray matter.
Do you know that the baristas at our Starbucks don’t even know when they are closing? It seems very unfair to me..and then I wonder…is it an angle? I mean, are they hoping that by announcing […]

So..the battle royale rages and Starbucks and McDonalds are the new Continental Hatfields and McCoys. It’s anyone’s guess what these guys are gonna do next in the battle for the American Cup. Coffee cup.
McDonalds in Seattle has parried the Starbucks’ Pikes Place thrust, with some fancy footwork and Free lattes on fridays in the Seattle […]

I wondered what they meant by an everyday coffee, so when I went to Starbucks tonight I asked Chris, who is the absolutely coolest barista in the universe.
You can get it everyday..It will be consistently brewed everyday starting at something like ten o clock.
So, the aroma was not particularly unique. It smelled like coffee, which, […]

Starting today at nine a.m. Pacific time (noon Eastern), Starbucks will be introducing its new roast, Pikes Place.
The new coffee is named after the location of the first store that Starbucks opened in 1971, and will be the first Starbucks coffee advertise being ethically traded and sourced.
