This is my favorite of the coffees that Green Mountain sent me. It is a dark roast, and as I have said, I am partial to a dark roast. The beans are very aromatic, you open the bag and your brain perks up..”coffee? did someone say coffee?”

The first coffee I brewed when the care package from Green Mountain came in was the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. The Archer Farms Yirgacheffe I had tried last winter was a big favorite and i was delighted to see another version in the box.

Last week McDonalds announced that beginning early 2009 they are going to be using environmentally certified coffee at its Australian and New Zealand locations.
The coffee is certified by the Rainforest Alliance. All coffee sold by the company (in Australia and New Zealand) will be certified by the group.

I don’t often drink cokes anymore.
Now, when I say that you have to understand that cokes is a generic word for sweet, fizzy drinks. Here in Texas you go to the Whataburger, and they will ask what kind of coke you want. Dr Pepper? Root Beer? Cola? Sprite?

Wal-mart announced plans to carry Fair Trade coffee. In fact, they are aiming to carry the cheapest fair trade coffee on the planet. Wal-Mart said the Sam’s Choice coffee will be priced at $5.88 for 10- to 12-ounce bag.

Sara Lee is the third largest coffee roaster in the world. Wow. I did not know that. I also did not know that for years the company has been selling sustainably grown coffee everywhere but here. No wonder nobody doesn’t like Sara Lee!
