Kettle and Cup

Saturday Surfing

empty coffee cannister

I have terrible news to share with you. Seriously. Sit down because this is going to be hard to take.

I am out of coffee.

Yeah. There is no coffee in the antique glass canister. No coffee in the pantry. None. Water, water everywhere and not a drop of [coffee] to drink. I am not sure what to do. It has my whole day thrown off. I will probably make some tea but I am not really a morning tea drinker.

How can you go wrong with a blog name like Finding Joy Everyday? Absolutely an answer to my coffee deprived prayers this morning as I watched the video and LAUGHED. Yes. 7:50 on a Saturday morning, no coffee, and yet I laugh. Hie thyself to this site and watch the video. If you spit coffee on your computer screen don’t say that I did not warn you.

Check out Julie’s new persona on Not Enough Coffee

I would not make this up. The Shine Your Hiney Soap Company has a coffee soap. Coffee Addiction, exfoliating with ground coffee, moisturizing with goats milk. Add a sugar scrub and you will almost have a latte. This piqued my interest for a couple of reasons..but honestly it was the name that got me.

Apparently everyone else is out of coffee too, because the blogs are strangely silent today.

no more

Moving on to tea….

oops..tea is even worse. Nothing.

O.k…uhh..Moving on….

I am moving to Coos Bay, Oregon with my coffee cup. Oh yes I am…First of all I could stop by and harass Jennifer

But also because police say that there is a panhandler outside the-store-whose-name-shall-never-pass-my-lips (that would be Wal-mart. EWW.) is making 300.00 a DAY panhandling. Yeah…you can read more here

I like beards, myself..Well, not on me, but Marc has had one for years and I really like it. A lot. In fact, we have had 3 children just since he grew the beard. Here are some facts about why men shave. I have one thing to say…don’t do it.

Gizmodo mourns the downfall of society because of a cheeseburger in a can..Obviously these people never ate WWII issue C-Rats at boot camp.

O.k..I have a reason for following this. Divine Caroline is doing a study to see whether men prefer straight or curly hair. I spent hours in high school with my hair rolled in orange juice cans (empty) and then ironing it with the iron to get it straight..only to go outside and have it twist up into curls…In the 90’s when curly hair was in..my hair decided to respond to pregnancy by becoming straightish.. I was nonstop pregnant or nursing (sometimes both) from 1992-2006 ….so I was out.. Now my hair is curly again..Maybe I should start a poll.should Marc shave/should I straighten my hair…hmmm.

When I got out of boot camp I was 19 years old (just barely) and amazed that the Dayroom at the Presidio of Monterey had beer vending machines. I did eventually get used to that, however I am not sure I am up for marijuana vending machines in LA

Enjoy your weekend. I think the panhandler in Coos Bay probably will. Ya think he needs that much money because he commutes to LA?

Maybe a friend of yours will drop in with a pound of coffee beans. When I ran out in January and was getting headaches in spite of drinking copious amounts of any caffeinated tea in my cupboard, a dear friend popped in one day with a pound of Starbucks breakfast blend. All thoughts of “This is good for me. I can end my addiction,” fled instantly!

LOL! I have a sarbucks gift card that marc adn I have been using for our coffee dates…but today may require serious rethinking of that…every man for himself, and he who holds the card holds the power, right?

I just want to thank you for checking out my blog and posting it here! I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I started the blog for a school project and if I am one of the top 5 in my class to get the most people looking at it I receive a whole grade increase. I really appreciate this!
