Fantasy Tea…Who Would You Invite?
The tea party dresses had me thinking yesterday. IF you were having a tea party, or a kaffe klatche for that matter, who would you invite and why? It can be any one in history, fiction, or myth.
My list would be the oddest collection of characters ever, I am afraid. :/ But, here it is...OH! You will notice that Jesus Christ is NOT on the list. It is not an omission. He always goes where I do, having invited Him once, I don’t have to do it again.
1. George Muller- This man amazes me with his faith. If you have never read Autobiography of George Muller, get it. Awesome.
2.Anne Shirley-I could not have a tea party and not invite her
3. Jan Karon, if she will also bring along Father Tim and Cynthia
4. Mother Theresa-again, someone I admire greatly
5.Thoreau- reading Walden in the fifth grade changed my life.
6. Walt Whitman- I love his poetry
7.John Cleese- I think he is hysterical
8.The Apostle Paul -I identify
9.Mrs PiggleWiggle -I use her philosophy of discipline and it works great..
10. Charlotte Mason- I have a few questions to ask her.

I love your list…we also talked about this at breakfast and I was surprised at what the kids came up with.LOL!

I recently posted asking a very similar question and I chose my great grandmother (http://myteacups.wordpress.com/2008/04/10/tea-with-my-great-grandmother/).
But if I created a list (that did not include individuals I know/am related to) I would choose Ella Fitzgerald, Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman-just to name a few.

I love yours! I would add William Wilberforce, Miss Read, the main characters of Laura Childs’ Tea mysteries, my daughter and my granddaughters. :)

My oldest daughter and her husband and kids live with us..so I have my grandkids…William Wilberforce..hmmm..that would be awesome…I love miss read….I have not yet read Laura Childs…
